Melanoma survivor and Miss New Hampshire
Bridget found a small red mole on her arm and watched it over a few months. She had a gut feeling something wasn’t right. After hearing Megan Rothschild’s melanoma story through MFNE’s Your Skin Is In program, Bridget scheduled an appointment with her dermatologist. He wasn’t concerned about the mole, but decided to biopsy it since Bridget was adamant about it. Two days later he called and told her the mole was in fact melanoma. It was confirmed that Bridget’s margins were clear and it was Stage 1. She was 23 when she was diagnosed. Bridget started using tanning beds at 16 to get ready for prom and continued to use them throughout college and even worked at a tanning salon part time. After her life changing diagnosis, Bridget vowed to live each day to the fullest and make her dreams realities.
